The new ME

There have been a lot of things that have changed since I had my kids. Some changes have been awesome and some others not so much but I love my "mommy title" and would never, ever, change it for anything. One of the things that changed is my ability or inability to get gross out easily. I have been puked on, sneezed on, pooped on and peed on (face and other body parts). I also inspect poop by smelling it...yes, I do that and determine if it is a good poop or a bad poop...those DO exist my beloved "childless" friends. I pick out buggers and sometimes do not have tissues handy. There a many nasty things I put up with! I love it. A mere 5 yrs ago this post would have made me gag, today it only describes part of a good day around the people I love.

Laundry Line

That is my Scrounged laundry line.

I have been using Cloth Diapers for a few days and is going well. The best way to dry them is in the sun and fresh air. While doing that (line dry) with my diapers a re-discover the amazing smell of the sun on your clothes and decided to give it a try with our clothes. Got hubby on board and voila! a new cloth line was put up this afternoon. I have my clothes in the washer and I am eager to use my brand spanking new line. We are also hoping to reduce our electric bill in the process!

Surviving the craziness

I have been visiting my native and loved Colombia...Cali to be more specific, for the past 2 weeks. It has been very very hard to be away from home and the "perfect" routine I have there. This is a country with no schedule, kids we know do not really take a nap and do not have set bedtimes...crazy right? So, when I go out with my kids and try very hard to keep them in their "time zone" I am a complicated and boring mom who does not know how to have fun and who has adopted too much from the "gringos". All the fun activities start after 2pm...2 Fu#$% PM!!!
Our naps end at around 4:30pm and our bed time is around 7:30pm.

The positive side is that my mom is having a blast and enjoying her grandchildren. We will be back home in 1 week and will be going back to our beautiful routine (not boring anymore).

Taking sides

I have always have problems taking sides. Every time I hear someone saying why A is better than B I might agree until I hear B's fans reasons. I am realizing that one of the reasons my life is a bit of a mess (just a tiny bit) is because I can almost never make a decision or take a side and stick to it. I profoundly (is that a real word?) admire people who have a definite way of seeing life and do not change, it might be good or very bad but it takes courage and a lot of effort...good for you one side thinkers or followers. In the past 10 yrs I have been a Catholic and Atheist an almost muslim and know I just do not know where I stand...:) I am married to a guy who takes sides but it is understanding of other people ways of seeing life (even though he thinks they are nuts) I do learn a lot from him but still can't make my mind!!!

Off to feed a hungry 3 month old!

I might be the only weirdo who bids on something that can't really buy...but the question is Why do I do stuff like this...? The stroller was $400.00 (It was a great price though) and it was an almost new, beautiful Phil n teds double. I kept trying to come up with a credible enough lie that would explained the presence of that machine to my husband, at the end just decided to come clean and tell the truth and promise to increase our bedroom magic and to walk every single day...kids or no kids in tow, maybe sammy would ride it if I bribe her enough...In the end another sucker bidded $405 and took me out of my misery.

This was a good day after all!

Dentist

Dominic got his teeth cleaned for the 1st time...no cavities and stuff, yeah!!!

Not a delightful experience but interesting!
