Surviving the craziness

I have been visiting my native and loved Colombia...Cali to be more specific, for the past 2 weeks. It has been very very hard to be away from home and the "perfect" routine I have there. This is a country with no schedule, kids we know do not really take a nap and do not have set bedtimes...crazy right? So, when I go out with my kids and try very hard to keep them in their "time zone" I am a complicated and boring mom who does not know how to have fun and who has adopted too much from the "gringos". All the fun activities start after 2pm...2 Fu#$% PM!!!
Our naps end at around 4:30pm and our bed time is around 7:30pm.

The positive side is that my mom is having a blast and enjoying her grandchildren. We will be back home in 1 week and will be going back to our beautiful routine (not boring anymore).

Taking sides

I have always have problems taking sides. Every time I hear someone saying why A is better than B I might agree until I hear B's fans reasons. I am realizing that one of the reasons my life is a bit of a mess (just a tiny bit) is because I can almost never make a decision or take a side and stick to it. I profoundly (is that a real word?) admire people who have a definite way of seeing life and do not change, it might be good or very bad but it takes courage and a lot of effort...good for you one side thinkers or followers. In the past 10 yrs I have been a Catholic and Atheist an almost muslim and know I just do not know where I stand...:) I am married to a guy who takes sides but it is understanding of other people ways of seeing life (even though he thinks they are nuts) I do learn a lot from him but still can't make my mind!!!

Off to feed a hungry 3 month old!

I might be the only weirdo who bids on something that can't really buy...but the question is Why do I do stuff like this...? The stroller was $400.00 (It was a great price though) and it was an almost new, beautiful Phil n teds double. I kept trying to come up with a credible enough lie that would explained the presence of that machine to my husband, at the end just decided to come clean and tell the truth and promise to increase our bedroom magic and to walk every single day...kids or no kids in tow, maybe sammy would ride it if I bribe her enough...In the end another sucker bidded $405 and took me out of my misery.

This was a good day after all!

Dentist

Dominic got his teeth cleaned for the 1st time...no cavities and stuff, yeah!!!

Not a delightful experience but interesting!

My life in pictures

Well...what can I say...this is my present and my future. This is a typical family picture...I am afraid I will NEVER have good pictures of me and my family unless I hire a professional. Why is it that us moms never get good pictures...dads usually suck at this. Any pointers at how to make them succeed in the picture taking department?

Tummy time!!!

I keep forgetting about the much needed tummy time, today I remembered and decided to documented it just in case I forget to do it again...these where taken in a 1 minute period...the order is wrong, it starts with the fighting the tummy time ones and ends with the sleepy one. The fight ended well!!!

Sleep Walking

So...hubby is totally doing it! now he wants to take a shower a 2am and wants to take the baby with him!!! Scary, scary!!!

Out of control

that is the only thing to say about having two kids...everything is a mess. tried to do some much needed shoe shopping for dominic today but we had no luck, he was good for most of the time and the baby complained just a bit but it was very difficult to manage both kids...need a double stroller ASAP.

Simone

After a little bump on the road my sweet little girl made her appearence to the world safe and sound. I tried to have a VBAC but had preeclamsia and had to have a Cesarian...again!

Simone is just perfect...I am totally in love with her, Dominic is totally crazy about the baby, Jon is doing his best to please the little guy and Samantha is moppy and neglected...poor mut!

Hello...world!
